Welcome to Reign, a PvP focused server, made for ALL player types.
Our goal is to reignite the very stale current state of RSPS's and reimagine what a truly unique PvP RSPS should offer.

Over a years worth of work has gone into creating the most unique content that still maintains an OSRS feeling. I know you all are tired of seeing the same things on every server that "make them different", so here's a few of our bigger pieces of content that truly separate us from other servers

-Focused on PvP, players will be able to compete in 2v2/3v3/10v10 Arenas and Battlegrounds, Tournaments, Bonus Wilderness Content and more, earning Conquest Points that can be spent in a special shop containing BiS items, eliminating the need to grind out bosses or raids for a chance at getting your BiS item to drop.

-Players can Enchant these BiS items to add special bonuses and procs. Differing from the "upgrade items" system that most servers have, enchanting items offers far more than just boosted item stats, such as item procs that can vary from giving you a Heal over Time effect in PvP, to spawning an NPC that fights alongside you for 60 seconds, and more. This is where the non-pvp players will shine, providing materials (dropped by monsters or skilling activities) used for Enchanting BiS gear. The PvP'ers get their best, enchanted items, and the non-pvp'ers make gold. Thus, creating an ideal ecosystem for all player types.

-Players will be able to use in-game gold to purchase all Donator Ranks in-game! This gives every player the same opportunity to reap the benefits of the donator ranks.

-All brand new & unique Wilderness Content, so far such as (with more coming as alpha/beta progress):

Hold the Fort (wilderness world event)
Hold the Fort is a new bi-hourly wilderness world event located at Rogues Castle in the deep wilderness. The objective is for a player to defend the Orb that spawns on the 2nd floor of the castle for X amount of time (time depends on how many total players are near/within the region in order to reduce it being abused). The first player to click the orb will need to defend the orb from being clicked by other players. If another player clicks the orb, it will announce the new orb defender in a broadcast message and a new timer will be set for the new orb defender. The player that successfully defends the orb until the timer expires will win a prize (prize to be determined). If there is no declared winner 15 minutes after the orb spawns, the event will end until the next timed spawn.
Capture the Flag (wilderness world event)
The Capture the Flag world event is a dangerous event located in the deep wilderness. Once every hour, a large black flag will spawn at one of ten different locations in the deep wilderness. The objective is simple: Pick up the flag, and return it to the Arena Grand Master located in the PvP building in the Home area. Although the objective of this event is simple, completing it successfully will not be an easy task. The flag carrier will be unable to use any sort of teleporting methods, and their base stats will be lowered to level 1 until the flag carrier either returns the flag to the Arena Grand Master, or dies trying.
The flag carrier must simply survive.
Pirate Ship (non-wilderness world event)

This event is currently in the works being developed, however, I'd like to provide a brief summary of what the event is all about! The Pirate Ship world event will start once every two hours. The Pirates, located on the dock at the Knights Guild, need your help to get their ship up and running, fast! The players will need to bring an abundance of items to the Pirates in order for them to repair their ship and be on their way! They will need planks and nails to repair broken pieces of the ship, they will need coal in order to warm the furnace, cloth materials to repair the sails, and certain food items and weapons they can bring along their journey! Once the pirates Supply Depot is filled to 100%, the event will be finished! ALL players in the game may participate in this event. Rewards are still TBD, however, turning in either X amount of items will guarantee you a reward. The better the items given to the pirates by the player, the better the reward will be.

Arenas & Battlegrounds (More Media Coming During Beta)

Compete in either Unrated or Rated PvP games called Arenas and Battlegrounds. In unrated, you will earn Conquest Points, spendable in the Conquest shop. However, with Rated PvP, you will also earn "PvP Rating" for every win. Maintaining a high enough PvP Rating by the end of each PvP Season will earn you a special Season title, as well as a Season pet and Spoils of War loot box.

Enchanting System

Spoiler

Enchanting is used to "enchant" items, upgrading them to become a more powerful version. Some of them can even proc specials, such as a random Veng against an enemy in PvP (even if your veng is on cooldown), spawning an NPC to fight alongside you for 30 seconds, giving you a 10 second heal over time buff, and more! This system is more than just "Item Upgrades" like many servers offer, that normally only even give the item a stat boost. Enchanting an item will not come cheap, however, this system will be how players will achieve their BiS items. Many Enchanting materials needed to enchant an item will be dropped by high-level monsters, reward chests, tournament wins, skilling and other various tasks. This gives PvM'ers and Skillers the opportunity to truly run the eco on a PvP focused server by grinding for these materials and selling them to the PvP'ers who need the materials to enchant their BiS items!

Free Donator Ranks (Purchasable with in-game GP)

That's right. Players who opt out of donating IRL money to obtain donator ranks, will be able to purchase ANY rank with in-game GP through our Donator Rank Upgrade system. This system is very straight-forward, all you need to buy a rank is the required amount of GP, nothing more. Once you have bought the lowest rank for X amount of GP, you may immediately purchase the next rank for a slightly higher amount! The reason this system is prioritized is because we want to give everybody the same chance at gaining the perks of the donator ranks. Players shouldn't be forced to spend IRL money in order to keep up, it should be a fair playing field for all.

Players can expect additional PvP content to keep them engaged outside of Arenas/Battlegrounds, such as the following (but not limited to):

New semi-challenging (but rewarding) wilderness bosses (more info/media on this coming soon)
Wilderness-only clue scrolls (more info/media on this coming soon)
Completely re-worked Wilderness Slayer and skilling (more info/media on this coming soon)

The Fragment of Seren world boss

The Fragment of Seren is by far the hardest world boss in Reign. Her attacks consist of the same special attack mechanics that she uses during the SoTE quest fight, however they are at random rather than in 15 second intervals, as you can see from the media below! She will drop a plethora of PvP items as well as the BiS enchanting materials available.

Pirate Ship (non-wilderness world event)

The Pirates of Booty Bay need the players help repairing their ship! When the event starts, players will need to bring certain items to the Supply Depot box located on the boat dock in Booty Bay. The amount of items needed is determined by how many players participate in the event. Once the amount of items needed is reached, the event will end and players will receive x1 Great Vault key, and some pirate currency to spend at the Enchanting Materials shop located in Booty Bay (used to buy very useful secondary enchanting materials for BiS items).

The Nightmare

The Nightmare of Ashihama, often simply referred to as The Nightmare, is a large, otherworldly horror who feeds on the life force of sleeping people, giving her victims horrible nightmares until their life force is completely drained and expires. There are no requirements to fight The Nightmare. The mechanics are the same as you will find in OSRS.

Revenant Maledictus

The Revenant Maledictus is a superior version of the revenant. There is a small chance of the maledictus appearing whenever a revenant is slain in the Revenant Caves. The mechanics are the same as those you would find on OSRS.

The Great Vault reward interface

Players will receive Great Vault keys from completing the various events listed on the interface below! Once you complete one of these activities and receive a key, head over to The Great Vault, located in Edgeville and Booty Bay, and open the vault for your chance at a great reward! You can view possible rewards for the event you completed by going to Quest Tab > orange Events Tab > Select the event you completed > View Rewards.

Knights Guild

Players can use a boat in the deep wilderness to travel to the Knights Guild. This area serves as a central hub for PvM'ers and PvP'ers, offering shops, portals, etc that are unlocked by Combat/PvP tasks and achievements.

Welcome to the official Gauntlet advertisement thread.
After endless hours into coding, we decided to announce the release of one of the coolest semi-custom servers!
I would like to thank Kronos for releasing the base we have worked hard on to create something outstanding and unique for the RSPS scene.

With this OSRS based server, we had to expand the content and gameplay progression more to make it fit perfectly.
At Gauntlet we bring you everything OSRS has to offer up to the 194 data, with additional items and content to make it even more fun.
After release, we will poll most of our updates so the community decides what comes into the game!
Our development team exists out of multiple talented and fairly new coders, that work on the server as a full-time job!

We are Economy-based, with a lot of content for PVM, but also a lot of focus on Player-Killing.

We're really glad you've decided to have a look at our advertisement thread. We know you're probably ready to see some pictures (or possibly already have), so we'll keep our explanation of what exactly Alora is short and sweet. We're a brand new server that has been in development for well over a year now and we have paid the closest attention to detail that we can, to provide our amazing community with the best OSRS private server experience possible!

When was Alora released?

The server launched on Friday the 4th of November 2016.

What server is Alora based on?

Hyperion

Does Alora feature content solely from OSRS?

Currently there are no plans for major content from any different eras of Runescape, unless suggested from our community.

What is the XP rate?

We have a good mix between an Economy and PVP server, the XP rate of Alora is moderate to high especially for combat skills.

What is the drop rate?

Similar to the previous question, the drop rate is moderate to high for general items that allow players to begin their adventure in the wilderness, but certain items like godswords, dragon warhammers and such will be considerably more difficult to achieve.

Does Alora have frequent updates?

Yes we do, all updates are posted on the forums here for players to keep up to date with the latest updates!
